충청남도사회서비스원이 주최한 이번 행사는 학교 밖 청소년들의 기초 체력을 객관적으로 점검하고, 또래 청소년 간의 유대감과 화합을 다지기 위해 마련되었다.
이날 참여한 청소년들은 자신의 신체 능력을 측정하는 다양한 프로그램에 참여해 한계에 도전했다. 청소년들은 단순한 경쟁을 넘어 서로를 응원하고 격려하며 훈훈한 분위기를 연출했다.
체력 평가 외에도 청소년들의 흥미를 돋우는 다채로운 부대행사가 함께 진행되어 축제의 열기를 더했다.

행사에 참여한 한 청소년은 "오랜만에 마음껏 땀 흘리며 체력을 점검할 수 있어 좋았고, 평소 해보고 싶었던 볼링과 키캡 만들기까지 함께 즐길 수 있어 정말 즐거운 시간이었다"고 소감을 전했다.
유인화 센터장은 "이번 행사가 학교 밖 청소년들이 건강한 신체와 정신을 함양하는 계기가 되었기를 바라며, 앞으로도 청소년들이 건강한 사회 구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 다각적인 지원과 맞춤형 프로그램 참여 기회를 적극적으로 넓혀가겠다"고 밝혔다.
한편, 서산시학교밖청소년지원센터는 학교 밖 청소년을 위해 검정고시 지원, 자격증 취득, 자기계발 및 직업역량 강화 프로그램, 직업·문화체험 등 다양한 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
오는 6월 8일부터는 제2회 검정고시 대비반(스마트교실)을 운영할 예정이며, AI POT, 안전요원 등 다양한 자격증 과정 프로그램도 함께 계획 중이다. 서산시에 거주하는 학교 밖 청소년이라면 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 자세한 문의는 센터 전화로 가능하다.

Seosan Support Center for Out-of-School Youth Joins ‘Physical 100’ Fitness Assessment

SEOSAN — The Seosan Support Center for Out-of-School Youth, led by Director Yu In-hwa, participated in ‘Physical 100,’ a fitness assessment program for out-of-school youth held at the Dangjin National Sports Center on the 19th. The event offered a meaningful opportunity for young participants to improve their physical health and foster mutual communication.
Hosted by the Chungcheongnam-do Social Service Agency, the event was designed to objectively assess the basic fitness levels of out-of-school youth while creating a platform for socialization and solidarity among peers.
The participating youth challenged their physical limits through various measurement programs designed to test their capabilities. Moving beyond mere competition, the teenagers created a heartwarming atmosphere by cheering for and encouraging one another.
In addition to the physical assessments, a variety of engaging side events were organized to elevate the festive mood:
Sports Activity: A bowling match where youth teamed up and bonded through friendly competition.
Experience Booth: A creative "Keycap Making" workshop allowing participants to express their unique personalities.
Grand Finale: A generous lucky draw event that wrapped up the day in high spirits.
"It was great to sweat out after a long time and check my fitness level," said a participating youth. "I also really enjoyed bowling and making my own keycaps, which I’ve always wanted to try."

Meanwhile, the Seosan Support Center for Out-of-School Youth provides a wide range of services, including support for qualification exams (GED), certificate acquisitions, self-development, job competency enhancement, and vocational/cultural experiences.
Starting June 8, the center plans to run its "Smart Classroom" to prepare students for the second qualification exam of the year. Additionally, various certification programs such as AI POT and safety officer training are scheduled to open.
