"성과로 서산의 지도 바꿀 것"

이완섭 서산시장 후보가 서산의 천혜 자원을 경제 자산으로 탈바꿈시키는 ‘관광 대혁신’ 비전을 선포하며 서산시민들의 전폭적인 공감대를 이끌어내고 있다.
이 후보는 19일, 서산의 동서남북을 하나의 테마로 묶어 서해안 최고의 관광 거점으로 도약시키겠다는 구체적인 실행 계획을 제시했다.
이 후보의 이번 공약은 서산의 미래 지형을 바꿀 치밀한 설계가 돋보인다. 우선 가로림만 국가해양생태공원 조성과 서산 갯벌의 유네스코 세계자연유산 등재를 통해 서산을 세계적인 생태관광의 메카로 만들겠다는 구상이다.

특히 삼길포에 야간경관 조명을 개선하고 이동식 전망대인 '열기구'를 설치해 밤이 즐거운 서산을 만들겠다는 포부는 시민들의 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.
이 후보가 내세운 관광 대혁신의 가장 강력한 근거는 이미 증명된 그의 ‘성과’다.
이 후보는 이미 한우목장길 개방('24.12.)과 보원사지 오층석탑의 국보 승격('25.12.)을 이끌어냈으며, 간월도 해양경관 탐방로를 조성('23.11.)하는 등 서산 관광의 격을 한 단계 높여왔다.
