[사회/CTN] 가금현 기자 = 민주평화통일자문회의 서산시협의회(회장 한옥화)는 지난 12일 회포마을과 박첨지놀이 전수관에서 「2026 여성위원 역량강화 활동」을 성공적으로 개최했다.

'서산, 문화로 만나고 평화로 잇다'를 주제로 열린 이번 행사에는 민주평통 여성자문위원을 비롯해 서산시 여성단체협의회 회원, 서산 여성 행복시대 봉사단체 회원, 북향민 여성 등 지역사회 각계각층의 여성 리더 30여 명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.

이날 참석자들은 먼저 회포마을을 방문해 지역 특산물을 활용한 호박고추장과 호박칼국수 만들기 체험을 진행했다. 이들은 함께 음식을 만들며 지역의 전통문화를 경험하고 자연스럽게 소통하는 화합의 시간을 가졌다.

이어 박첨지놀이 전수관으로 자리를 옮긴 참가자들은 향토 무형문화재 공연을 관람하고 직접 탈을 만들어보는 체험에 참여하며, 지역 문화유산의 소중한 가치를 함께 나누고 공감대를 형성했다.

특히 이번 행사는 다양한 배경을 가진 지역 여성들이 한자리에 모여 일상 속 문화를 매개로 평화와 통일, 그리고 공동체의 가치에 대해 깊이 있게 소통했다는 점에서 큰 의미를 더했다.

행사를 주관한 조세현 여성분과위원장은 “여성 자문위원들이 중심이 되어 지역 여성들과 함께 서산의 문화를 즐기고 평화의 의미를 나누는 뜻깊은 자리를 마련하게 되어 매우 기쁘다”며 “앞으로도 여성위원들의 다양하고 창의적인 의견을 적극적으로 반영해 관련 사업을 추진해 나가겠다”고 소감을 전했다.

한옥화 협의회장은 "서산시 여성단체협의회와 여성 행복시대 봉사단체, 북향민 여성 등 지역을 이끄는 다양한 여성 리더들이 함께 평화와 통일의 가치를 나눈 뜻깊은 시간이었다"고 평가하며, "통일은 거창한 것이 아니라 일상 속 작은 소통과 이해, 그리고 공감에서 시작된다"고 강조했다.

아울러 "앞으로도 지역사회와 긴밀히 호흡하며 평화통일 공감대를 확산할 수 있는 사업을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

한편, 민주평화통일자문회의 서산시협의회는 앞으로도 시민들이 체감하고 동참할 수 있는 평화통일 공감대 확산 사업을 꾸준히 전개해 나갈 예정이며, 지역사회 통합과 평화 문화 정착을 위한 다양한 활동을 이어갈 계획이다.

Under the theme "Seosan, Meeting Through Culture and Connecting Through Peace," the event brought together around 30 local women leaders, including NUAC female advisory members, members of the Seosan Association of Women's Organizations, members of the Seosan Women’s Happy Era Volunteer Group, and North Korean defector women.
At Hoepo Village, participants experienced local traditional culture and communicated with one another while making pumpkin red pepper paste (gochujang) and pumpkin handmade noodles (kalguksu). They then visited the Bak Cheomji Nori Center to watch a performance and participate in a mask-making experience, sharing the value of local cultural heritage.
The event held significant meaning as women from diverse backgrounds came together to bond and communicate over the values of peace, unification, and community.
Cho Se-hyeon, Chairperson of the Women's Subcommittee, who organized the event, stated, "I am delighted that a meaningful venue was created where female advisory members took the lead in sharing the meaning of peace through Seosan's culture with local women." She added, "We will continue to promote projects by reflecting the diverse opinions of our female committee members."
Han Ok-hwa, Chairperson of the Seosan Municipal Chapter, emphasized, "This was a meaningful event where various local women leaders, including the Seosan Association of Women's Organizations, the Women’s Happy Era Volunteer Group, and North Korean defector women, shared the values of peace and unification." She continued, "Unification begins with small steps of communication, understanding, and empathy," and declared, "We will continue to expand projects that foster consensus on peaceful unification in cooperation with the local community."
The Seosan Municipal Chapter of NUAC plans to continuously promote projects to spread a consensus on peaceful unification together with citizens, carrying out various activities to establish local community integration and a culture of peace.
