[정치/CTN]가금현 기자= 맹정호 서산시장 후보가 14일 선거관리위원회에 후보 등록을 마치고, ‘더 큰 서산’을 향한 본격적인 본선 행보에 닻을 올렸다.

맹 후보는 이날 후보 등록 직후 발표한 첫 메시지를 통해 "더 큰 서산, 더 따뜻한 서산을 만들기 위해 다시 시민 앞에 섰다"며 "지난 시간 시민과 함께 일궈온 변화의 가능성을 토대로, 이제 멈췄던 서산의 시간을 돌려 다시 역동적으로 뛰는 도시를 만들겠다"고 강력한 의지를 피력했다.

맹 후보는 "오직 시민만을 바라보며 더 낮은 자세로 경청하고, 더 가까운 곳에서 발로 뛰겠다"며 "어제보다 나은 오늘을 꿈꾸는 시민 여러분의 열망을 담아 서산의 새로운 변화를 완성하겠다"며 지지를 호소했다.

후보 등록을 마친 맹 후보는 이후 민생 현장을 방문하며 시민들과의 접점을 넓히는 등 본격적인 세몰이에 나설 예정이다.
