[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 천안시가 때 이른 무더위 속에서 70만 시민들의 보건 안보를 사수하고 다중이용시설 내 위생적인 먹는 물 공급 환경을 조성하기 위해 관내 정수기 시설체계에 대한 고강도 전수 단속에 착수했다.

시는 대규모 점포를 포함해 불특정 다수가 이용하는 관내 주요 다중이용시설에 설치된 냉·온수기와 정수기를 대상으로 이달 말까지 강력한 지도·점검을 단행한다고 21일 밝혔다. 이번 조치는 기온 상승에 따라 수인성 전염병 및 배관 내 세균 번식 위험이 고조됨에 따라, 관행적인 서류 검사를 깨부수고 직접 현장을 파고드는 치안형 위생 행정을 실현하기 위해 선제적으로 기획됐다.

점검 대상은 대형 마트와 백화점 등 유동 인구가 밀집하는 대규모 점포를 비롯해 시민들의 발길이 잦은 관내 다중이용시설 전체다. 시청 환경정책과 전문 점검반은 현장을 불시 방문해 신고사항 변경 여부의 적법성, 직사광선 노출이나 화장실 인접 등 설치 장소의 적합성, 필터 교체 주기 및 청소 소독 상태를 기록하는 관리 대장의 성실한 기록 유지 및 비치 여부 등을 송곳 검증하고 있다.

특히 시는 이번 점검에서 적정 위생 기준을 충족하지 못하거나 냉·온수기 및 정수기 설치·관리 의무를 정면으로 위반한 시설 관리자에 대해서는 어떠한 타협이나 행정 편의주의적 봐주기 없이 관련 법령에 의거해 즉각 100만 원 이하의 과태료를 부과하는 등 무관용 원칙으로 강력 처분할 방침이다.
