[정치/CTN]가금현 기자= 더불어민주당 김기재 당진시장 후보가 19일 자신의 선거사무소에서 (사)참교육학부모회 당진지회(회장 강희연)와 손을 잡고 교육·청소년 정책협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 특정 정치적 이해관계를 떠나 지역사회가 함께 아이들의 교육과 돌봄을 책임져야 한다는 공감대 속에서 추진됐다.

양측은 어린이 통학로 안전 개선, 청소년 문화 공간 확대, 초등 돌봄 지원 강화, 읍면·도심 간 교육 격차 해소 등 7대 과제를 공동 실천하기로 합의했다.

특히 선거용 일회성 선언에 그치지 않도록 분기별 정책간담회를 정례화해 이행 상황을 지속적으로 점검하기로 뜻을 모았다.

김기재 후보는 "도시의 경쟁력은 아이를 안전하고 건강하게 키울 수 있는 환경에 달렸다"며 "당선 이후에도 학부모의 목소리를 시정의 중심에 두고, 아이들이 당진에서 자라 행복했다고 말할 수 있는 교육도시를 반드시 만들겠다"고 강조했다.

[Politics / CTN] Reporter Ga Geum-hyeon = Kim Ki-jae, the Democratic Party of Korea's candidate for Mayor of Dangjin, signed a policy agreement on education and youth with the Dangjin branch of the Parents' Association for True Education (headed by Kang Hee-yeon) at his campaign office on the 19th, CTN reported.
The agreement was driven by a shared understanding that education, childcare, and youth policies are responsibilities the entire local community must bear together, transcending specific political interests.
The two sides agreed to jointly implement seven major tasks, including:
Improving safety on school commute routes
Expanding cultural and leisure spaces for youth
Strengthening support for elementary school childcare
Bridging the educational infrastructure gap between rural and urban areas
In particular, to ensure this would not remain a one-time declaration for the election, both parties agreed to regularize quarterly policy meetings to continuously monitor the progress of these initiatives.
Candidate Kim Ki-jae emphasized, "A city's competitiveness ultimately depends on whether it provides an environment where children can grow up safely and healthily." He added, "Even after the election, I will keep parents' voices at the center of city administration and will fully commit to building an educational city where children can proudly say they were happy growing up in Dangjin."
