[정치/CTN]가금현 기자= 더불어민주당 맹정호 서산시장 후보가 지난 19일 (재)희망제작소(소장 이은경)와 정책협약을 체결하고, 민선 9기 ‘주민과 함께하는 충남 서산시 희망만들기 프로젝트’를 공동으로 추진하기로 합의했다.

이번 협약은 서산시의 실질적인 주민자치를 실현하고, 지속 가능한 경제·사회·환경 공동체를 조성하기 위한 혁신적인 정책 공약을 발굴·실천하는 것을 골자로 하고 있다.

양측이 체결한 협약서에는 ▲풀뿌리 민주주의 가치 실현 ▲지역 자원 기반의 지역 순환 경제 구축 ▲보편적 삶의 질 향상 ▲AI 전환 시대 청년 희망 찾기 등 시민 모두의 행복을 더하기 위한 ‘46대 희망공약’을 이행하는 데 적극 협력한다는 내용이 담겼다.

아울러 인구 감소, 기후 위기, AI 전환 시대 등 현재 서산시가 직면한 당면 과제들을 해결하기 위한 구체적인 정책과 사업도 공동으로 모색하고 추진해 나갈 방침이다.

이번에 제시된 '46대 희망공약'은 희망제작소가 지난 민선 5기부터 8기까지 16년간 전국 지방자치단체 현장에서 성공을 거둔 혁신 사례들을 엄선하여 구성한 검증된 정책 패키지다.

맹정호 후보는 "희망제작소의 46대 공약은 제가 준비한 RE100 산단 조성, 로컬푸드 활성화, 바람연금 사업, 청년 창업 및 귀농 지원 등 핵심 공약들과 궤를 같이하고 있다"며 "이번 협약을 통해 희망제작소의 축적된 연구 성과와 성공적인 혁신 사례를 적극 접목하여, 위기를 극복하고 희망을 새로 쓰는 서산을 완성하겠다"고 강력한 의지를 피력했다.
희망제작소 이은경 소장 역시 맹 후보에 대한 깊은 신뢰를 보냈다.

이 소장은 "맹정호 후보는 민선 7기 서산시장을 역임한 풍부한 행정 경험을 바탕으로, 사람 중심의 사회적 가치를 실현하고 과감한 사회혁신 정책을 펼쳐 지역사회에 새로운 희망을 키워낼 적임자"라고 치켜세웠다.

[CTN News / Reporter Ga Geum-hyun] Maeng Jung-ho, the Democratic Party candidate for Mayor of Seosan, signed a policy agreement with the Hope Institute (Director Lee Eun-kyung) on the 19th, agreeing to jointly pursue the "Project for Creating Hope in Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do with Residents" for the 9th elective term, as reported by Reporter Ga Geum-hyun of CTN, South Korea's leading internet newspaper.

Integrating the Proven '46 Hope Pledges' to Boost RE100 Industrial Complex and Local Food Initiatives
The '46 Hope Pledges' serve as a verified policy package consisting of innovation cases carefully selected by the Hope Institute based on successful outcomes achieved across local governments nationwide over the past 16 years, spanning from the 5th to the 8th elective terms.
Candidate Maeng Jung-ho stated, "The 46 pledges of the Hope Institute closely align with my core promises, such as establishing an RE100 industrial complex, revitalizing local food networks, implementing the 'Wind Pension' project, and supporting youth entrepreneurship and returning to farming." He added with strong determination, "Through this agreement, we will actively incorporate the institute’s research achievements and successful innovation models to complete a rejuvenated Seosan that overcomes crises and rewrites its future with hope."
Lee Eun-kyung, Director of the Hope Institute, also expressed deep trust in Candidate Maeng. Director Lee noted, "Based on his rich administrative experience serving as the mayor during the 7th elective term, Candidate Maeng Jung-ho is the ideal person to realize person-centered social values and execute bold social innovation policies to cultivate new hope in the local community."
