[사회/CTN] 가금현 기자 = 국제로타리 3620지구(차기총재 청구 최재용)가 다가오는 2026-27년도 로타리 회기를 이끌어갈 핵심 역량 강화에 본격 나선다.

지구 사무국에 따르면, 국제로타리 3620지구는 오는 5월 30일(토) 오전 8시 30분부터 아산 선문대학교 공학관 101호에서 '2026-27년도 회원증강 및 공공이미지 세미나'를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이번 세미나는 올라잉카 하킴 바발롤라(Olayinka Hakeem Babalola) 국제로타리 차기 회장의 핵심 메시지인 '지속적인 영향력(Irresistible Impact)'을 지역 지구 내에 효과적으로 전파하고, 이를 실천하기 위한 구체적인 전략을 모색하고자 마련됐다.

참석 대상은 각 클럽의 차기회장, 총무를 비롯해 멤버십위원회 위원장 및 위원, 공공이미지 위원장 및 위원, 그리고 관심 있는 일반 회원들이다. 지구 측은 효율적인 세미나 운영과 준비를 위해 각 클럽별로 회원 수에 따른 의무등록 인원(회원 20명 이하 클럽 5명, 21~40명 클럽 7명, 40명 이상 클럽 10명)을 지정하고 참여를 독려하고 있다.

특히 이번 세미나에 30명 이상 등록하는 클럽에는 총재표창점수가 반영되는 인센티브도 제공된다.

또한, 이번 행사는 로타리의 7대 초점분야 중 하나인 '환경보존'의 실천을 행동으로 보여주는 자리가 될 전망이다. 지구 사무국은 일회용품 사용을 줄이기 위해 모든 참가자들에게 '개인 텀블러'를 반드시 지참해 줄 것을 당부했다.

세미나 종료 후에는 아산 곡교천 일대에서 점심식사가 제공될 예정이다.

청구 최재용 차기총재는 "초아의 봉사로 헌신하시는 차기 회장님들과 임원진의 노고에 깊이 감사드린다"라며, "이번 세미나가 3620지구의 회원 증강과 로타리의 공공이미지를 한 단계 높여 지역사회에 '지속적인 영향력'을 발휘하는 강력한 출발점이 되기를 기대한다"고 전했다.

According to the district office, RI District 3620 will host the "2026-27 Membership and Public Image Seminar" on Saturday, May 30th, from 8:30 AM at Room 101 of the Engineering Building, Sunmoon University in Asan.
The seminar is designed to effectively spread and establish actionable strategies for "Irresistible Impact," the theme and message emphasized by RI President-elect Olayinka Hakeem Babalola.
The event will be attended by incoming club presidents, secretaries, Membership Committee chairs and members, Public Image Committee chairs and members, as well as general Rotary members. To ensure smooth operation, the district has set mandatory registration quotas based on club size (5 members for clubs with 20 or fewer members, 7 members for clubs with 21–40 members, and 10 members for clubs with 40 or more members). Clubs registering 30 or more members will receive additional points toward the District Governor's Citation.
In alignment with 'Supporting the Environment'—one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus—the event will also promote eco-friendly practices. The district office has strictly requested all attendees to bring their own personal tumblers to reduce waste. Following the seminar, lunch will be provided around the Gokgyo-cheon stream area in Asan.
