"Building Parent-Child Attachment Through Five-Senses Experience in Nature"... Cheonan City Dream Start Operates 'Kkomjirak'
Customized emotional bonding program for families with infants... Developing family-centered activities such as organic egg farm visits.
May 18, 2026
[Cheonan/CTN] Reporter Kang Hyun-su = Cheonan City's Dream Start has introduced a field-centered, customized welfare service to strengthen the emotional bond between parents and children for families with infants and toddlers who are at the golden time of attachment formation.
The Dream Start announced on the 18th that it operated 'Kkomjirak', an emotional bonding enhancement program that stimulates the five senses and helps form positive family relationships, targeting local families with infants and toddlers on the past 16th. This program was designed to maximize intimacy between family members through hands-on activities away from daily routines, tailored to the characteristics of infancy when rapid physical and emotional development occurs.
Participating families visited an organic egg farm to see the environment where chickens grow with their own eyes, took eggs out of nests, and carefully made marinated eggs, participating in nature-centered activities that are difficult to experience in large cities. The diverse five-senses stimulation program, where they could experience vivid nature firsthand, drew enthusiastic responses and high satisfaction from participating families.
Seok Jae-ok, head of the Cheonan City Child Care Division, stated, "The experience of children running around freely in nature away from the city and having their five senses stimulated is a very important factor for emotional stability and healthy development." She added, "We will continue to strengthen close integrated welfare services reflecting field demand so that children, the leaders of the future, can grow up bright and healthy."
Meanwhile, Cheonan City Dream Start takes the lead in building a local children's safety net by systematically providing customized integrated services in various fields, including health, emotion, and welfare, for children under 12 and pregnant women to support the healthy growth of vulnerable children.
