[정치/CTN]가금현 기자= 오성환 국민의힘 당진시장 후보가 21일 오전 10시, 당진 구터미널 로터리 앞에서 지지자들의 뜨거운 함성 속에 출정식을 개최하고 6·1 전국동시지방선거 승리를 향한 돛을 올렸다.

이날 출정식 현장에는 성일종 국회의원을 비롯해 당원, 시민, 그리고 이번 지방선거에 출마하는 충남도의원 및 당진시의원 후보들이 대거 집결해 압도적인 필승 의지를 다졌다.

오 후보는 출정식에 앞서 충령사를 참배하며 순국선열과 호국영령 앞에 당진의 도약과 책임 있는 시정을 구현하겠다는 엄숙한 다짐을 마친 후 본격적인 거리 유세에 나섰다.

연단에 오른 오성환 후보는 "지난 4년의 시간은 시민 여러분과 손을 맞잡고 당진의 무한한 가능성을 하나하나 현실로 증명해 낸 역동적인 과정이었다"고 소회를 밝히며, "이제는 그동안 모은 하나 된 힘을 바탕으로 더 크고, 더 강한 당진의 미래를 완성해야 할 때"라며 지지를 호소했다.

오 후보는 핵심 비전으로 '도시 경쟁력 강화'를 꼽았다.

그는 "당진의 미래 경쟁력을 획기적으로 높여 청년들이 꿈을 찾아 돌아오고, 유망한 기업들이 스스로 발길을 옮기는 활력 넘치는 도시를 만들겠다"며 "행정의 변화와 발전의 결실이 시민 개개인의 삶에 고스란히 체감되도록 다시 한번 운동화 끈을 동여매고 뛰겠다"고 약속했다.

마지막으로 오 후보는 "더 큰 당진을 완성할 수 있는 강력한 원동력은 오직 시민 여러분의 현명한 선택에서 나온다"고 강조하며, "지난 4년간 쌓아 올린 탄탄한 성과를 발판 삼아 당진의 비약적인 발전을 반드시 완수하고, 시민들의 기대에 확실한 '결과'로 보답하겠다"며 전폭적인 지지를 당부했다.

Prior to the ceremony, Candidate Oh visited Chungryeongsa Shrine to pay his respects to the patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes, pledging responsible municipal administration and a grand leap forward for Dangjin.
