확대 ‘2026년 하계 청년 행정체험 프로그램’ 홍보문.

[천안/CTN]강현수 기자 = 천안시가 지역 청청들의 취업 역량을 대폭 강화하고 공공 부문의 실무 경험을 직접 체득할 수 있는 기회를 제공하기 위해 대규모 청년 일자리 지원체계를 가동한다.

시는 오는 29일까지 관내 청년들을 대상으로 ‘2026년 하계 청년 행정체험 프로그램’ 참여자를 전격 모집한다고 지난 19일 밝혔다. 이번 프로그램은 방학 기간을 맞이한 청년들에게 시정 참여 기회를 넓혀주고 향후 진로 탐색을 위한 마중물 역할을 하도록 돕기 위해 마련된 청년 밀착형 시책이다.

이번 하계 프로그램의 총 모집 인원은 103명으로 확정됐다. 시는 공정한 기회 균형을 위해 보편적 청년들을 위한 일반모집으로 83명을 선발하고, 복지 사각지대 및 취약계층의 자립을 지원하기 위한 특별모집으로 20명을 분리해 뽑는다. 특별모집 대상은 국민기초생활보장법에 따른 기초생활수급자, 차상위계층, 한부모가족법에 따른 한부모가족, 다자녀 가구 등 배려와 지원이 시급한 가구의 청년들이다.

신청 자격은 공고일 기준 천안시에 촘촘하게 주민등록을 두고 있는 18세부터 39세 사이의 청년이면 누구나 참여 가능하다. 참신한 행정 경험을 원하는 청년들은 별도의 방문 절차 없이 천안시청 공식 누리집을 통해 간편하게 온라인으로 신청서를 접수하면 된다.

최종 대상자는 행정의 투명성과 공정성을 담보하기 위해 전 과정 공개 추첨 방식으로 엄격하게 선발한다. 바늘구멍을 뚫고 최종 선발된 청년들은 오는 7월 8일부터 8월 11일까지 약 5주간 천안시청 본청을 비롯해 본부, 사업소, 각 읍면동 행정복지센터 등 일선 행정 최전선에 전격 배치되어 공공 행정 업무 지원 인력으로 생생한 실무를 수행하게 된다.

김석필 천안시장 권한대행 부시장은 "이번 하계 행정체험 프로그램이 지역 청년들의 구직 눈높이를 넓히고 진로 탐색 및 실무 역량 강화에 실질적인 디딤돌이 되길 바란다"라며 "천안시는 앞으로도 청년들이 지역사회 안에서 안정적으로 성장하고 자립할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 실효성 있는 다각적 맞춤형 시책을 대폭 확대해 나가겠다"고 약속했다.

The city announced on the 20th that it is officially recruiting participants for the '2026 Summer Youth Administrative Experience Program' for local youth until May 21. This program is a youth-friendly policy prepared to broaden opportunities for young adults facing the vacation season to participate in municipal administration and serve as a stepping stone for future career exploration.

The total number of recruits for this summer program is fixed at 103. To balance fair opportunities, the city will select 83 participants through general recruitment for universal youth, and separately pick 20 participants through special recruitment aimed at supporting the independence of vulnerable social groups and welfare blind spots. Targets for the special recruitment include youth from households in urgent need of care and support, such as basic livelihood security recipients under the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, near-poverty households, single-parent families under the Single-Parent Family Support Act, and multi-child families.

Any youth aged between 18 and 39 who holds a tight resident registration in Cheonan City as of the announcement date is eligible to apply. Young adults seeking fresh administrative experiences can easily submit their application forms online through the official Cheonan City Hall website without any separate visiting procedures.

Final participants will be strictly selected through an open lottery system across the entire process to guarantee the transparency and fairness of the administration. Young adults who pierce the needle's eye and win the final selection will be formally deployed to the frontlines of first-tier administration, including the main building of Cheonan City Hall, headquarters, project offices, and each Eup/Myeon/Dong Administrative Welfare Center for about five weeks from July 8 to August 11, performing vivid practical work as administrative support personnel.

Kim Seok-pil, Vice Mayor and Acting Mayor of Cheonan, promised, "I hope this summer administrative experience program serves as a substantive stepping stone for local youth to broaden their job-seeking eye-levels and strengthen career exploration and practical competencies." He added, "Cheonan City will drastically expand effective, multi-faceted customized policies to help young adults stably grow and become independent within our local community."
