재단은 내달 23일까지 문화예술 전반에 걸친 혁신적인 아이디어를 수집하는 ‘2026 문화예술 아이디어 공모전’을 개최한다고 지난 19일 밝혔다. 이번 공모전은 AI 기술의 급속한 발전이 가져온 새로운 창작 환경에 대응하고, 천안시만의 차별화된 미래지향적 문화예술 정책 및 효율적인 재단 운영 아이디어를 선제적으로 확보하기 위해 기획됐다.
공모 분야는 AI 창작환경 개선, 문화향유 콘텐츠 확대, 운영시설 이용환경 개선 등 총 3개 분야로 정밀하게 압축됐다. 문화예술에 깊은 관심을 가진 대한민국 국민이라면 나이나 거주지에 제한 없이 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 개인은 물론 참신한 팀 단위의 응모도 폭넓게 허용된다. 공모 참여를 원하는 신청자는 재단이 지정한 서식을 작성해 공식 전자우편(cfac02@naver.com)으로 제출하면 되며, 공모 서식 다운로드 등 보다 상세한 세부 사항은 재단 누리집을 통해 손쉽게 확인할 수 있다.
재단은 이번 공모전을 단순한 이벤트에 그치지 않고 시의 문화예술 현장과 재단이 운영하는 각종 사업 및 문화시설에 대한 다각적인 민의를 수렴하는 정교한 거버넌스 채널로 활용할 방침이다. 도출된 실질적인 개선방안과 혁신 아이디어는 향후 천안시 문화예술 중장기 정책 수립과 현장 체감형 사업 운영의 핵심 기초자료로 전격 반영될 예정이다.
안동순 천안문화재단 대표이사는 "인공지능의 폭발적인 기술 변화는 문화예술의 창작과 향유 방식은 물론 문화예술기관의 운영환경 전반에 거대한 지각변동을 가져오고 있다"라며 "전국에서 제안되는 창의적이고 수려한 아이디어들이 실제 재단 정책과 현장 사업으로 긴밀하게 연결되어 천안시가 선진 문화예술 도시로 도약하는 강력한 주춧돌이 되기를 기대한다"고 말했다.

[Cheonan/CTN] Reporter Kang Hyun-su = The Cheonan Cultural Foundation has formally commenced discovering citizen-led ideas for qualitative leaps in the local cultural arts ecosystem and formulating advanced policies in line with the rapid paradigm shift toward the Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformation era.
The foundation announced on the past 19th that it is hosting the '2026 Cultural Arts Idea Contest' to collect innovative ideas across cultural arts until the 23rd of next month. This contest was designed to respond to changes brought by the rapid development of AI technology and to preemptively secure distinctive, future-oriented cultural arts policies and efficient foundation operation ideas unique to Cheonan City.
The contest sectors are precisely narrowed down to three fields: improving the AI creative environment, expanding culture-enjoying contents, and improving the utilization environment of operating facilities. Anyone in the Republic of Korea with a deep interest in cultural arts can participate without restrictions on age or residence, and applications from individuals as well as fresh teams are widely permitted. Applicants wishing to participate can fill out the form designated by the foundation and submit it via official email (cfac02@naver.com), and further specifics including downloading the contest form can be easily checked on the foundation's website.
The foundation plans to utilize this contest not as a mere one-off event but as a sophisticated governance channel to gather diverse public opinions on the city's cultural arts frontlines, various projects, and cultural facilities operated by the foundation. An Dong-soon, CEO of the Cheonan Cultural Foundation, stated, "The explosive technological changes in AI are bringing massive tremors to the methods of creating and enjoying cultural arts, as well as the overall operating environment of cultural arts institutions." He added, "We expect that creative and excellent ideas proposed nationwide will be closely linked to actual foundation policies and field projects, serving as a powerful stepping stone for Cheonan City to leap into an advanced cultural arts city."
